Today, while its Toris birthday, and Veterans Day... is also her dads birthday. She spent her birthday honoring him in the most personal and heartfelt way - by making a tribute to him that will be with her always. She designed this tattoo and has waited patiently for me to agree to it. And I finally did, as it represents her heart and her connection to him. To me, its a victory in the face of those who tried to remove him from her life. He will never be removed - he lives and breathes in her, and now he is permanently part of her being in a tangible way. (Her left outer ankle, for those who are wondering.)
