Today while looking through all Codys school papers I happen to turn over a paper that on the back Cody had drawn this very awesome C inside an old school Batman-esk explosion look and the teacher took her red pen and scribbled almost all of it out!! Not just a simple X but a full on scribble all over his art. Not offensive art! More like self-empowering for him art. It made me angry. I can understand if she doesnt want him drawing on the back of his paper but I DOUBT she even talked to him about it. I believe creativity is incredibly important and Cody is such a talented drawer it really angers me this teacher actually took the time to scribble it up in red wrong marker. I just feel like actions like that are what help crush kids sprit. Yes, I will be talking with the teacher!
