Today, while many will participate in the traditions of Halloween, a few of us will also be celebrating the holiday known as Samhain. This day is one of our Eight Sabbats, and we celebrate the end of one year and the transition to another. Historically, on this day, ancient Celtic tribes would settle disputes, put disagreements behind them, make plans for the future, and honor their ancestors with ceremonies and gatherings. We believe that on this day, the veil between the spirit world and this one is at its thinnest of the calendar year, and that we are able to celebrate with those who have passed on. Celebrations include prayers, wishes for good health and prosperity, and feasting. To all of my brothers and Sisters I wish you all a Blessed Samhain! )O(
