Today will be day 1,988.67251234 of my attempts to re-write the librarys disaster plan. I consider the whole project to be a disaster. If I try to make it *creative*, or even amusing--if thats possible--then my employers no doubt will tell me to edit and/or start all over. Besides, I keep coming up with disasters that werent covered in the first plan (blizzards, volcanic eruptions, being forced at gunpoint to eat watermelon--one of my least favorite foods, and Ill eat just about anything--at the circulation desk, where all can see me, etc.). The elusive Great American Novel this is not, though it seems about as long as, say, _War and Peace_, which, I realize, is not American, but it *is* long. T...G...I...F.
