Today will be the opening of the Seminar ‘Women Building a New Reality’. Our Director Ms. Mazal Renford will Introduce to the Golda Meir Mount Carmel International Training Center (MCTC) and to MASHAV-Israel’s Agency for International Development Cooperation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ms. the Seminar Director Braha Steiner, will introduce to the program The ‘Women Building a New Reality’ Seminars have formed the main thrust of MCTC’s work with Palestinian women since 2003, as a direct consequence of a MASHAV/MCTC International Women Leaders’ Conference on Women’s Role in Conflict Resolution and Peace Building. Emerging from discussions and recommendations from that Conference, the Seminar series was initiated at MCTC. Several times every year, approximately 25 Palestinian and Israeli professional and working women meet together at MCTC for 4 intensive days of debate, discussion, soul-searching and friendship forging. By April 2013, 31 seminars had taken place and almost 1,000 women participated.
