Today would have been my daddys birthday. What can you say about the most amazing man and the best gift God gave me!! I used to send my dad the biggest birthday card I could find. The last time I spent his birthday with him I flew up to surprise him. I went to my parents house hiding behind my brother and his wife and popped up and yelled surprise. I had spoken to my parents that morning and never let on that that I would be coming home! My mother suspected something was up because I didnt tell my dad Happy Birthday that morning. That day I spent with him was so special to me. My gift to my father that year was two paintings of Jacksons Mill that I painted from the Wild and Wonderful West Virginia magazines that daddy had sent to me. I played daddys favorite song Singing in The Rain on the new organ that mom had set up in the room. These are memories that I carry every day with me for the rest of my life. Happy Birthday Daddy.. you would have been 99 years old today. You left me way too soon. I miss you and think of you every day!!! I am sending hugs..kisses and much love to you!!!
