Today would have been my father’s birthday if he was still walking here on earth. I could always remember his birthday since it fell on Pearl Harbor Day. Dad was a kind, reserved, hardworking and a man of few words. He never complained since he knew everyone had their own problems. When he did speak you better listen carefully because you knew it was important. When you had a problem he would listen intently but he was never judgmental. When it came to me and my sister he was a proud Dad and was our protector. I was thinking this morning about the day you passed. Dad developed prostate cancer and battled it to the very end. On the day Dad passed my Mom called me to tell me he wanted to talk to me. She told me you better hurry. When I got there I got to hold his hand and he talked to me before he passed a few minutes later. In his quiet way he said goodbye. I know God that you have one of the most hardworking servants in Heaven. I am sure Dad has made his mark there too. R.I.P. Dad
