Today would have been my sister Julies 33rd birthday. She passed on when she was 12. As I sit here holding my newborn daughter Kate Julie, I am deeply touched at the magic that life has to offer. The joy, the pain, the sacred connection ... and most of all the love that is available to us. All we must be is OPEN to receiving. My heart has been cracked open more times than I can count, especially this week, and Im grateful for it ALL (even the stuff I wished away in the heat of the moment). What Ive learned is this: dont be afraid to FEEL. Dont be afraid to touch emotions that may seem scary or deep or dark. Thats where the truth lives. This is where you find freedom. This is where you will step into the light.
