Today would have been your 54th birthday. Normally birthdays were just another day for you since you wouldnt let us buy you presents or make you special cakes. You said that our presence was a big enough gift since you knew how busy each of us was and didnt get to see us enough. Last year was a special year for our relationship. We became closer than we had even been before and established an understanding between us. I gave you crap and you dishes it back out but I would go to you for anything no matter the issue. 2 days before your birthday last year we spend HOURS in the woods making a new hunting blind that we both thought was going to be prefect. You complained how bad you aches after running the tractor for days but you didnt understand my suffering from manning the shovel but I never complained because you were trying to help me. After all our hard work, neither one of us wanted to admit that it flat out sucked and we should have never messed with our original one to begin with but I hunted in it anyways just for you. Although we didnt spend today with you like we planned and we didnt get to celebrate another year milestone that you didnt like, we spent today thinking about you, telling stories, laughing, crying and honoring you and the man you were. Happy birthday in heaven Dad. I love you and miss you more everyday!!
