Today, yes today exactly 17 years ago I walked down the aisle to marry my outjie! Jirre I was soo late even the Priest was pacing up and down and asked Ivan if Im still coming! In the interim, the driver of my car took the wrong route. Im proud to say thanks to a wonderful man, I am still enjoying the love and respect every woman deserves. He puts up with my madness, OCD and shares my happiness/sadness at times. Most of all he adores my family and friends so much, he would not have it any other way. Our marriage was not easy going at times but we stood by each other and we made sure to put the past behind us and move on - so to hell with the rest! Most of all we thank God that he has blessed us thus far and we pray for many more healthy and loving years together. Ivan, you deserve a medal for being tolerant with a Gietjie like me, but I will always fight for whatever comes our way! Now, he is making me a lekker peanut butter sandwich (see now - thats the way a husband should treat a wife who loves, cares and constantly works on his nerves!) My promise is to stand and be with him till the end. Roll on another 17 years! Love you Boere xx
