Todays Bit of Weirdness: I was at my local train station heading downtown to run errands when I noticed a rather tall young woman of Asian descent. I dont know why but she stopped next to me and for the next minute or two I had visions of her on the subway tracks. Suddenly I noticed that the wind that usually accompanies the approaching train suddenly stopped. When I turned my head and looked that same girl, all 63 of her was standing about 30 ft from the end of the station facing down the train that had fortunately come to a stop! I think she ran down there because she assumed that the train would be arriving at such a fast speed still that it wouldnt have time to stop. Apparently she must have jumped down to the tracks too soon and the train operator had the chance to stop. One guy ran to the token booth clerk while others tried to talk her back onto the platform which she eventually did before running back toward the turnstiles. Initially I wondered what could have possessed her to try something like this? Then I worried about the poor train operator. The worst thing would have been to hit her; the next worst thing was having to experience almost hitting someone. He has to live with that plus recount the events to his superiors and possibly endure a drug test and a trip to the E.R. to rule out shock amongst other things. Hell he couldve had a heart attack! Then I was struck by the strange comments of some of my fellow passengers….. One lady was pissed that the train actually stopped because she was running late and this was going to make her even later. A guy was saying to leave her alone when myself and another man was identifying the young woman to the station cleaner and he hope she gets well. I said Apparently that hasnt worked so far and that she was going to need some sort of help with whatever was troubling her or she was going to do something like this again or worse and SUCCEED! Trust your intuitions people. Their trying to tell you something and sometimes the message isnt for you alone!
