Todays DDYAUG Yoga Break is a stop and drop! So - - stop, drop, and EAGLE POSE! Wake up your body, settle yourself down, give yourself some hip- and shoulder-opening love, help you regain your focus and reset your breath -- its perfect for today. Bend your knees ala Utkatasana, and take your right leg over your left, then wrap your right arm under and around your left. If you have tight shoulders, bring your hands to anjali mudra at your heart center or take opposite hand to opposite shoulder. Set your gaze to a point in front of you, and work fully into Ujjayi breath (breathe through your nose, and tighten the back of your throat so your breath is audible). Flex your right foot and stretch out your fingers. Engage the pit of your belly and draw it in and up, stack your shoulders over your hips, and line your elbows up with your shoulders. Hold for five full breaths, and switch sides. To finish, gift yourself with your absolute favorite pose (if its Eagle - - do it again!), then take a seat to meditate and connect to your highest self. Connect to your own greatness, and then offer that greatness up as your gift to the world.
