Todays Devotion Topic: Regard The Weak? (Self Assessment 60) BACKGROUND: Most of us are still in a reflective mood concerning 2015. We are being careful to make great decisions that should get us closer to God and attract all the blessings that in Him are found. One of the simplest ways to keep at Gods will and to remain blessed by Him is by GIVING. Yet it is more challenging for us to give than to received. Let us explore some blessings that giving attracts and see how that can influence our own generosity. Kindly meditate on the passage below. Do not hesitate to share the revelations the Holy Spirit gives you with us. Text: Psalm 41: 1- 3 Blessed are those who have regard for the weak; the Lord delivers them in times of trouble. 2 The Lord protects and preserves them— they are counted among the blessed in the land— he does not give them over to the desire of their foes. 3The Lord sustains them on their sickbed and restores them from their bed of illness. Amen. QUESTIONS i. What is giving? Who must give and to whom? ii. Vrs 1 of the passage above explains the blessedness of those who regard the weak: a. Who and who do you think are being referred to as WEAK here? b. Practically, how can One regard the weak? (Mat 25: 31- 46) iii. Is it mandatory for every believer to regard the weak (read: James 1: 27)? Explain. iv. The cost of giving can be very high; will it still be worth the effort? ( read: 2 Sam 24: 24) v.
