Todays Devotional: REAL JOY FOR ME, NOT THAT IMITATION STUFF! Good morning! What a joy it is to realize we are a part of Gods glorious plans. Im just hoping you can look past your present circumstances should you be in one thats not all that pleasant and still know your are unquestionably in His good plans. You are loved! There is a lot of things we put our trust in regarding ourselves. If we are not careful these easily become our sources of strength which in time will prove to be disastrous for us. When we presume that our own strengths are all we need, it wont be long afterwards that this presumption on our part of how strong we are will be shown for what it is: very weak. The Bible teaches that the joy of The Lord is our strength. But how many times have we witnessed someone drawing their strength from their career, a natural talent, a relationship, etc., only to have their whole world crumble when those sources of strength failed them or ended? Lasting joy can only be found in The Lord Jesus Christ, all other sources of joy have limitations due to ever changing circumstances. The Bible again tells us that there is no variableness in God, He is consistently trustworthy; everything else has a dated season of joy that soon loses its strength under the storms of life. Be sure to place your highest joy in The Lord, if you do this, then real lasting strength will always be present even in your time of weakness. His strength never grows weak, therefore make Him the joy of your life and you will always stay strong! ~Dad~ I look up to the mountains; does my strength come from mountains?
