Todays Edan update: Spent last evening in the pediatric intensive care unit. High fever, high heart rate, and low oxygen levels. They found her left lung has fluid and also around her heart. Thankfully there was not a pulmonary embolism! She is back in a regular room at this point under respiratory supervision. They are going to try and place a PIC line without sedation this afternoon. They are also giving her a self regulated morphine system. That way she will get constant low dose and can give more when pain gets higher. She is sitting in a chair today and did a craft which is a huge turn from yesterday. Hoping the worst is behind us, but they warned us it could still get bad. Still in the waiting stage. No word on when we may possibly be released but it will not be this week at all.
