Todays Forecast: We start this morning off with fog into our valley locations as skies remain mostly clear to partly cloudy. We’re watching an area of thunderstorms to our northwest that have a history of producing severe weather. There is a small chance that these storms could make it to our counties north of I-64. If they do, the main threats we’d be dealing with are straight-line damaging winds in excess of 60 mph, hail, and heavy downpours. Fortunately, the storms aren’t holding together very well, and they should miss us to the east if they hold their current track. Highs won’t be as hot as yesterday, but it will still be muggy as highs range from the upper 70s to the upper 80s. If we see enough sunshine, there is a small chance that we could see an isolated severe thunderstorm or two this afternoon. The threats are still the same (wind, hail, heavy downpours), and the chances of it happening are small at best. Lows tonight will range from the low to upper 60s with valley fog developing late.
