Anyway, let us have a little reflection on this life. I recall a friend relates that his uncle told him that a man in their neighborhood who became popular for engaging in money rituals just to buy the 80s edition of Honda prelude. U wouldnt buy that car 4 50k 2day! I remember as a kid, my whole street converged 2 watch a truck deliver a very large satellite dish to my neighbors house. Today a dish one tenth of that size delivers 5 times the value and is in almost every student hostel room. What about the Volkswagen Santana, Mercedes Benz V booth,505 cocaine, all overtaken by Camry,end of discussion, evil spirit ,Hummer and Murano .......Vanity! A friend once declared drinks for the boys because he launched the Nokia Communicator for over 100k in 2002.Today that phone would embarrass the owner and is a Joke compared to the low cost and everyday smart phones. What about MTN sim card that many people went extra mile 2 buy 4 as much as 30k?Today you will not buy it for #200! We still make the most amazing sacrifices over the vainest and vaniest (if such word exists) of things. We continue to make enemies over worthless material things. Note that those things u want to kill or die for today, if only you could wait and see what becomes of it tomorrow. Do u know that president Jonathan Goodlucks Multi - Million Dollar country home was also submerged by flood just like most poor Nigerians recently? Let us slow down with the sense of attachment and blind pursuit of vanity. Is it not time that the hearts and souls of believers shivered and humbled itself at the mention and remembrance of their Lord? Let us all know today that this life is nothing but delusional and that the only place that is real is the hereafter, where the paradise is the provision for those who believe in their Lord and the Prophet sent to them and also act righteously, and the blazing fire for those whom after the clear signs have been shown to them continued with thier disbelief. Let those who have ears listen and act roghteously. Todays Gold is tomorrows Copper. A reminder to myself first and foremost.
