Todays Good News: A word to the wise: Just because a home is vacant, doesn’t mean you can break in and steal items inside. Yet that was the excuse last week from one burglar who was spotted by an eagle-eyed neighbor who knew no one should be inside. Second Precinct Officers Anthony Ratliff, Timothy Wade and Christina Partin responded to the home on Hull Street and as they pulled up, they spotted the man putting items into a trashcan to transport them to another location. He immediately surrendered and was subsequently charged with burglary, property damage and larceny. Good work officers, but a big thank you also goes out to that observant citizen! It’s all about teamwork!
