Todays Good News: Fourth Precinct officers recently made a quick arrest of a burglar on Seminary Avenue, but to be fair, the suspect did stand out. The victims arrived home that morning to hear someone inside their house and called police. They also heard a thump they believed to be the suspect jumping out of a second-floor window. Officers Robert Capocelli and Raymond Misegades, Sgt. Leonard Broadnax and Detectives Patrick Mansfield, John Walker and Todd Perseghin all responded to investigate. The detectives spoke with the victims and broadcast the suspect’s description, which included a noticeable limp due to his abrupt escape. He didn’t get far. Officer Capocelli spotted the man, who had changed his shirt, limping in a nearby alley. With the assistance of the other detectives and K-9 Officer Wes Moore and K-9 Diesel, numerous stolen items were recovered in the area and the suspect confessed to the burglary. Good work officers and detectives!
