Todays Good News: Thanks to good community tips and solid investigative work, a pair suspected of committing numerous thefts at both city and county gyms has been identified and charged with several crimes. Last week, detectives asked the public for help to locate the pair and within hours a citizen called Second Precinct Detective Derrick Longoria with a possible location. With the assistance of Third Precinct Officer Blake Letchford, the pair was found and detained. After further investigation by Third Precinct Detective Eric Sandlin, both were charged with three thefts in the city and more than a dozen charges out of neighboring jurisdictions. Even more charges are also possible. Good work officers and thank you, citizen, for getting involved!
