Todays Good Word.....Dont Give UP/He Loves Us “That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!” (2 Corinthians 4:15-17) The difference between faithful people and unfaithful people is unfaithful people give up at the first sign of difficulty. Faithful people keep on keeping on. Faithful people are determined. Faithful people are diligent. Faithful people are persistent. Faithful people don’t know how to quit. You know how a little acorn becomes an oak tree? An oak tree is just an acorn that refused to give up. It is always too soon to quit. You are never a failure until you quit, and it’s always too soon to quit. God uses tough times to test our persistence. Sometimes we may not get what we are praying for and longing for and may have to endure. I like to think of Daniels reply to the king... “O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to give you an answer concerning this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the furnace of blazing fire; and He will deliver us out of your hand, O king. But even if He does not, let it be known to you, O king, that we are not going to serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up.” SO what if God wants us to go through the furnace experience and not rescue us? are we like Daniel willing to say yet I will not give up I will press on? . My friends God uses tough times to test our persistence. If you’re going through tough times right now, then this verse is for you: “That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!” (2 Corinthians 4:15-17) God is more interested in what you’re becoming than what’s happening to you. He often allows trials, troubles, tribulations, and problems in your life to teach you diligence, determination, and character. The problem you’re going through right now? It’s a test of your faithfulness. Will you continue to serve God even when life stinks? Listen “He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.” Psalm 147:3 There is healing he bows himself over the mangled heart! Hear how he speaks! “Come, now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord; though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” And if the patient dreads to look in the face of the mighty being who addresses him, the same loving mouth whispers, “I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for my name’s sake. ”See how he washes every wound with sacred water from the side of Jesus; mark how he spreads the ointment of forgiving grace, and binds around each wound the fair white linen, which is the righteousness of saints. Does the mourner faint under the operation? He puts medicine to his lips, exclaiming, “I have loved thee with an everlasting love.” Yes, it is true—most true—neither dream nor fiction, “He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.” How condescending is the Lord of heaven, thus to visit poor forsaken man. For those going through physical conditions ..Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.3 John 1:2. Physical health is desirable, but short-lived; spiritual health is far more to be desired and will last for ever. We can live for a while with physical illness, but the unbeliever will die eternally with spiritual disease. May the Lord bless the reading to our hearts and my prayer is that all reading will call upon the lord . Would you do that today and escape the eternal spiritual disease? “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up” (Galatians 6:9). In what situation are you ready to give up? How can you renew your spirit so that you have the strength to persevere in this situation? Agape -mark.d https://youtube/watch?v=TCunuL58odQ
