Todays Good Word...Who Is In Control Of Your Life? Do you feel like you have to be in control? Like I do not want others to make decisions for me on what I eat, what I do, what I wear. I want to decide what occupation I do, where I work, what house I live in. I want to choose how many kids I have, when I go to sleep and when I wake up. If you have answered yes to these questions then there is little doubt as to who is in control of your life. Listen, weather we admit it or not, we often have limited control over our lives. I keep trying to make a life plan, but every time I do, there are twists and turns throughout my life. Does not mean that we are not to have goals and plans to achieve them. No, just that how we achieve them matters i.e brute force and being in control or allowing God to be in control. I can be in control and be miserable; or despite lack of control over my own life, I can have an incredibly blessed life, and I would not change any of it for the world. God is in control of my life, and I would not have it any other way. At least thats the way I would like it to be. Often times we need to humble ourselves and let God be in control. We try so hard to micro manage our lives and, our families that we sometimes dont understand why things get so out of control. In those moments, its time to hand over the reigns, and let God guide your life to where He wants it to be. He is not going to let your life fall to shambles, in fact He says in His word, For I know the plans I have for you. plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. (Jeremiah 29:11-13). Psalms 46:10 says. Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. Hows Your Heart? Psalms 4:4 says... Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Do you know your heart? God does! There is no fooling him! All to often we deceive ourselves about our hearts condition! We tend to think we all have good hearts. But, What does God see when he looks on our hearts and he does look on the hearts. The devil wants us to never rest, never be still, to never examine our own hearts. Everything in the world today is all designed to keep us so busy that years pass us by so that we never can come to the knowledge of life in Christ. Listen carefully - Satan may lead you to believe that all is good and you may even do good works in your own steam. But God is not in it. You can do this that or the other that he will make you feel kind of good about. But listen, so long as you are in control God is not glorified in all your so called good works. Pride is whats keeping us back my friends. God hates pride because He loves people -- and pride prevents people from receiving help from God. PROVERBS 8:13. The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; pride and arrogance and the evil way and the perverse mouth I hate says the Lord. He will take care of our lives if only we surrender....Listen to what Paul says this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19). Would you acknowledge Jesus in your life today and allow that peace that passes all understanding to dwell on you, in your homes, on your children and in all that you do? Do it now and your life will never be the same. So dont go around trying to be in control of everything and being a kill joy. Give your life to Jesus and let him take control. Listen and be blessed and may God help us let go and let Jesus take the wheel. https://youtube/watch?v=2cZda2VQhsM Blessings and have a great day. -mark.d
