Todays Herald Sun reports that the trade unions royal commissions interim report will be released today. It may be a key test of leadership for Daniel Andrews. To date, Mr Andrews has repeatedly refused to comment on allegations against his factional ally John Setka or Upper House Labor MP Cesar Melhem on the grounds that the Royal Commission has got a job to do. If the interim report makes adverse findings against them, Mr Andrews will have no excuse not to act to cut ties with the thuggery and intimidation of the CFMEU and with rorts and abuse by trade union officials.
