Todays Karma Lesson. Got word that we were going to have a fire drill. Since I work on the 6th floor and I wore heals I decided to take the elevator down. Earlier I had picked up a little bird off the ground, he seemed a bit dazed so I put him in in the fork of a tree. After the elevator ride, I strode towards the tree to check on him, not paying attention to the change in flagstone elevation (steps) and gravel, and you can guess the rest. Next thing I know Im fully prostrate, facedown on the ground. First damage assessment is not body, but my jeans, didnt want any holes or blood,check see if anyone saw me. Of course, i had ridden down with two of my coworkers. Lesson learned - I shouldve taken my shoes off and gone down the steps!!! If I see video later on YouTube I will totally deny this ever happening.
