Todays Local News sponsored by Cactus now online aracityradio/News/LocalNews.aspx Since it is International Mens Day.... Feral Man Curry (Serves one. It’s best not to feed this to anyone else, at least not until they’ve got to know the real you) Mandatory Ingredients 100g Minced Beef or Lamb ½ onion (roughly chopped) ¼ can Baked Beans 1 Scotch Bonnet chilli (finely chopped) 1 small piece fresh ginger (finely chopped) Hot curry powder Hot curry paste Hot water Vegetable Oil Basmati Rice Optional Ingredients Green Jalapeno Chilli Fresh Coriander (for Nun’s Whatsit) Brown the minced meat in the oil in any pan that comes to hand. Set aside. Now sauté the onion, scotch bonnet chilli and ginger together until the onion starts to go soft. Add teaspoon of hot curry powder and continue to sauté for 5 more minutes. Then add a tablespoon of the paste, and as much boiling water as you think you need. Return the meat to the pan, add the baked beans, and then reduce to the desired consitency. Boil the rice and serve. Taking it to another level Sprinkle with the finely sliced green jalapeno chilli. Nun’s Whatsit Garnish with fresh coriander leaves, if you like that sort of thing. Like a Nun’s Whatsit, it serves no purpose though if you’ve got the curry to the proper strength.
