Todays Message: Good Deed. My Daily Message From God for today: Today, Donald, we believe God wants you to know that one good deed can shift the balance of the whole world. Never underestimate the power of your goodness and kindness. Ive written several messages on this. A good deed is pleasing in the eyes of God. Matthew 25:40 says, I assure you, whatsoever you do unto the least of My brethren, that you have done unto Me. Have you done your good deed today? This is a frenzied, chaotic world today. People are in it for themselves. Theres a constant struggle to be top dog in the pound. While youre stepping on someones toes to get to the top, others are stepping on your toes to get by you. Its ridiculous. I think back to my days of radio; we were constantly saying we were better than our competitors. They would boast of their signal power: We have fifty thousand watts of pure power. Our motto was, We are the station that, at any given minute, more people listen to than any other radio station. It was ludicrous. Lets come back to now; my radio career has been over for years, Im secure and happy at my job as a MaxPak factory worker, and I still will help someone that may need assistance. We do it as our ministry. Ive talked to people that have problems and just need someone to listen, and Val has, too. Weve prayed for people that have needed prayer. Weve held someone when they needed to cry. THIS IS US! This is what we do. Heres the point; in all this chaos, this skulduggery and shenanigans that go on here every day, there HAS to be someone that does the good deeds. There HAS to be someone that cares when no one else does. There has to be someone that can be there when someone else needs a hand. There is......... ........were called Christians. Folks, we have to be the bright spot in this dark world. We have to be the light that shines in the night. From simply holding open a door for someone, all the way to praying for a sick person--even if you DONT know them--thats called doing good deeds. The Bible says, We are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. One does not light a lamp and then place it under a basket. They put it on a lampstand where it gives light to the house. In the same way, your light must shine before all, so that they may see the good you do and give glory to God. Im not asking you to go out and rescue people from a burning skyscraper, but even rescuing a kitten stuck in a tree is a good deed. Whatever you do, whether it be in thought, word or deed, do it in the Name of Jesus Christ. If you see someone without a smile...give them yours. If somebody needs to talk....listen. If somebody needs a shoulder to cry on...lend them yours. Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you. The old saying, No good deed goes unpunished, is a misnomer. God doesnt punish you for a good deed! He never will! He rewards good deeds with His own kindness. Good measure, well shaken, packed down and running over, will He pour into the fold of your garment. For the measure you measure with will be measured back to you. Take the time, take that step, make the move. Theres hope for this cold, cold world yet, and WE are the ones that can re-light the fire of the love of God and bring it blazing back to life!! They will know were Christians by our love, and we can make those good deed happen!! Dont hesitate. The moment is there and gone in an instant. Be ready to bless and be blessed!! Blessings! Don.
