Todays Message: HOW CAN YOUR BROKEN LIFE BE RESTORED? Praise the Lord!!! I will rebuild them as they were before. (Jeremiah 33:7) Human nature is too bad to be improved. It is too dilapidated to be repaired. Take a cracked bell, for instance. How can it be restored? By one of two methods. The first is to repair the bell, to encompass it with hoops, and to surround it with bands. Nevertheless, we can easily discern the crack of the bell from its sound. The only effective way is to remelt the bell, recast it and make it all new. Then it will ring clearly in the way it sounded before. The human nature is like this bell. Suspended high up in the steeple of creation it is destined to ring forth the praises of the Creator. But in the Garden of Eden during the Fall, the bell cracked. Man whom God created to the glory of His name, fell into Satans hands and hence his life was ruined. How can it be restored? By one of two ways. One is to surround it with outward laws and regulations as with the hoops of the bell. This is the method adopted by the world and this is philosophy. Without doubt, in this method there is marked improvement in the sound. Nevertheless, the crack in the life shows itself in the quality of the lifestyle! The best way is to re-melt, recast and re-mould it. This is Gods method in the Gospel. Dear friends, this morning do not think of repairing your cracked life by your own self-made laws, or through logic or through philosophy of life. Instead hand over your life to Jesus, who came to this earth, to give His life in order to save you. He came to give you a new birth. When you place yourself in His hands, He will re-melt your being, refashion your thoughts and make you a new creature, zealous to do good works. By and by you will resound His praises in melodious ways. The world will come to know of your Maker and draw near Him for its salvation. Heaven also will rejoice at your anthems of praise. PRAYER: Dear Lord, my life is cracked and is in dilapidated condition. I have tried the ways of this world to repair it but in vain. I humbly place my life in your hands, break me, melt me and mould me into a new creature and I will sing your praises all the days of my life. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
