Todays Move of the Day: sun salutations. There are some different combos for this move, heres what we do in PiYo class. Starting in standing, take a nice deep breath, fold forward, bring the hands up to the knees for half-lift, come down into plank, push down keeping elbows tight for chaturanga, move forward into upward-facing dog, then hinge back into downward-facing dog. I show the combo from the front and the side in this video. Feel free to drop the knees in plank and when moving into chaturanga! This is an excellent way to warm up the body before beginning another exercise (maybe one of the other moves of the day?)
