Todays Phillips Political Corner It has come to my attention in a privet message that there are some of you who still dot understand how the numbers work in Government and why there are those who believe Obama has not done anything for this country when compared to past Presidents so I will brake it down for you in simple terms. When a new President is Elected many of us assume he is taking over on a fair and level playing field but not in Obamas case so lets see if we can make it simple for everyone to understand. Lets say that before President Clinton past Presidents left office at a +5 so then when Clinton took office he started at a +5 but when he left office he left at a +25 so then Bush took over and started at a +25 but then Bush wasted all that left to him by Clinton and then spent even more and at the end he left office at a -25 so now comes Obama but did he start in the plus column, no he started where Bush left off at a -25 and still falling and his first year he fell to a -30 but thats because it was already falling and so he had to stop the decline which he did and started to bring the numbers up and when he ended his first term he was at a -15 still in the hole but many could see that he was bringing us up and out of the hole so he was reelected and now before the end of his second term he has us now at a +3, now to some that +3 doesnt look so good because past Presidents had left and started at maybe a +5 but what some of you are not looking at or figuring in is that in order to just get to that +3 Obama had to make up the -30 and then add the +3 which means he would have to make up 33 points when Bush lost us some 50 points, and Obama has to do this with a Republican House that refuses to do their job and who has past no Bills except for one that only benefits the Big Oil Companies. Now another way to look at it is this, if Obama started out on a level playing field say a +5 then the 33 points he actually did make happen would put him at a +38 better then Clinton, far better then Bush and even better then past Presidents before him. Now he did all this with a Republican House that will not give him anything and while the Republicans are hoping you blame Obama and look for excuses as to why its the Democrats fault they go on continuing with their hate propaganda. Lets not give up and stand up for the truth no matter how hard it is to see and feel. We need to stand behind our system so it can work even if we dont like whos been elected we need to stand tall
