Todays Poll count is 19 well done but we are in need of a lot more votes in order for me to be able to initiate a Petition to send to our Minister for Health.. So please if you would like to see this happen please share share share. And would also love to see Anyone else including all head lice specialists Australia wide to also make a poll on there page LETS SEE HOW MANY FAMILIES WANT THIS TO RETURN. Helping our children towards a better future so they are able to concentrate on their Education. The Policy states a child can resume back to school once they have been treated for the active Head lice. Thats fine but the problem is our schools are not implementing that Policy as the teachers are not allowed to exclude a child, only send home a newsletter or letter to parent so therefore is left up to the Parent with nobody to follow up....We need to be able to allow Teachers to have the power to exclude a child with an active head lice infestation and to have a followup situation until the issue is cleared, in order not to spread Lice to other pupils which then also spreads to the rest of their Family, by then an outbreak occurs because unless you check your children on a daily basis are not aware of a child has picked them up from others until a head full is noticed. A child does not have to have endless days away from school as it takes only 2 hrs tops to comb out the active lice and can be done during the evening, in which a child can then return the next day but must continue to have their hair combed until no sign of unhatched eggs are present. Thoughts and comments would also be very appreciated Thank you ~Christine.
