Todays Prayer June 30, 2014 I wake to worship You and to pray to You in the name of Jesus. As another month comes to an end, I pray to tell others about Jesus. Father, there is still much to do. Please help me to present the Gospel. I open my Bible and I seek Your Truth. Your Word says: The Lord God has given Me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him who is weary. He awakens Me morning by morning, He awakens My ear to hear as the learned. The Lord God has opened My ear; and I was not rebellious, nor did I turn away. (Isa. 50:4-5) As I read Isaiahs Messianic prophecy, I pray his prophecy will be understood. These verses speak of the obedience of Christ. Who among you fears the Lord? Who obeys the voice of His Servant? Who walks in darkness and has no light? Let him trust in the name of the Lord and rely upon his God. Look, all you who kindle a fire, who encircle yourselves with sparks: walk in the light of your fire and in the sparks you have kindled—this you shall have from My hand: you shall lie down in torment. (Isaiah 50:10-11) This is the prophecy of the suffering Servant. Why aren’t our hearts broken for what Jesus did on the cross? How is it that we are so busy with our jobs, our families, our lives, that we forget the importance of His selfless act for our redemption? Jesus left the glory of heaven to save us! He died for me, a wretched sinner! Oh dear God! Please bring to me remembrance of Your Word, that I may share it with the weary and offer them hope. Please hide Your Word in my heart that I will remember it and not be rebellious, that it will be a constant guide in my daily walk. When a wicked man dies, his expectation will perish, and the hope of the unjust perishes. The righteous is delivered from trouble, and it comes to the wicked instead. (Proverbs 11:7-8) Let there be no misunderstanding; those who are righteous are righteous only by the blood of Jesus! Lord, I continue to be amazed at Your longsuffering. How great is Your love! This is Your call to the unconverted, non-believers to believe and to be saved. Father, I know Your grace is always sufficient to sustain me. I pray others will understand, believe, and accept Your free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. It is a joy to serve You, to walk with You. Thank You, dear Lord, for all Your blessings past, present, and future. In Jesus’ most precious name I pray, amen.
