Todays Question (3 questions to be answered today): The 5th Amendment says you have a Right to due process if the government comes for your Life, Liberty or Property. The 7th Amendment says you have a Right to a trial by jury if the government takes any property over $20. When DCF takes your kids they can keep them for 72 hours without any hearing at all. After 72 hours, a single judge, not a jury, has the power to keep your kids indefinitely. When did children become less valuable than my property? When did I possess more Rights in property than I possess in the raising of my children? Why is the media more outraged at what happens in France than they are at what happens to American families?
