Todays Quick Tutorial 1.6 - Photography Tutorials Leaving Space in the Frame Do you remember what I told you about our eyes following the lines and patterns in the earlier tutorials ? Well same is true with the motion and dynamics. We have an inbuilt tendency to follow a subject in the direction of motion. and its quite obvious that something in motion needs space. Leaving space in the frame provides to the subject not only a pathway but a sense of freedom as well. This is true not only for subjects in motion but for the stationary elements as well. The frame is just like a box and imagine what do you need the most while putting something in a box ? you need space, to breathe, to feel comfortable. Therefore a photographer will keep this rule in his mind whenever he is willing to make a shot with dynamics and a sense of comfort altogether. Note : Did you notice how the photographer created this magnificent photograph ? Its just because he gave the guy jumping from the cliff, lot and lot of space to follow.
