Now, authorities are trying to retrieve data deleted from the flight simulator of the pilot. We may never know what happened to that airplane, but we will eventually know everything there is to know about the pilots. Family members of victims have come to Malaysia to look for answers. Sorry folks, but Malaysia is the last place on earth you want to go to if you want answers. Protesters said the Malaysian government hasnt told us anything. On the contrary, theyve told you everything imaginable. They just retract it shortly afterward. The protestors at the briefing displayed a banner. Police quickly removed the banner and the protestors. So thats what the Malaysian government is good at! Authorities investigating the plane have received background checks on all of the people on the flight, except for those from Russia and Ukraine. Whats the holdup? Oh, thats right - Russia and Ukraine are busy right now. I would advise authorities in Russia and Ukraine to find the time to do the background checks - before they get dragged into a new theory about what happened. There have been a lot of false leads and wrongheaded theories in this story, and there will continue to be false leads until one of them turns out to be true. Speaking of wrongheaded theories, Fox News is honing in on the Muslim hypothesis. Thats the belief among conservatives that everything that goes wrong in the world can be traced to Muslims, illegal immigrants, gay marriage, or Barack Obama. A Fox contributor asked this week, Is political correctness getting in the way of the missing plane investigation? In other words, is the search for truth being hampered by a lack of racism? Meanwhile, Russian forces and local militias have seized the headquarters of the Ukranian Navy in Sevastopol, Crimea. You get the feeling that this might be a little like what it would look like if Texas really did secede. Despite the takeover, there have been no reports of shootings. So in that sense, its nothing at all like what it would be like if Texas seceded. Think about this: We have more shootings in America on an average day than the Ukrainians have when a whole section of their country is being overrun by foreign soldiers. Of course, if Texas did secede that number would drop dramatically.
