He was the Latino professor famously played by Edward James Olmos in Stand and Deliver, who famously took an ailing L.A. latino schools math program from a basic math standard, to, in just a few years, into a AP Calculus program, that remains one of the premiere standards for high schools, across the country. And the movie, has probably been played and studied in more classrooms and by more teachers than any other film in the great teacher subgenre.
