Todays Rebel Post. What is my definition of a teammate. A teammate is a blessing, someone that you establish a relationship with unlike any other relationship outside of marriage and raising your children. Over the years Park had many teammates in football, baseball, and basketball. Through the course of these last 15 months Gail and I see more and more the strong relationships Park had with all of you young men. In the past two weeks here is how these relationships continue to impact us. The last steps of the Walk of Champions on the day of the Alabama game you guys approached Gail and I with more hugs than we could have ever expected, even from younger players who didnt get to be an actual teammate of Parks. The IPF after the game even more. Allowing us to continue to experience Parks dream in his place. We even had a high school teammate that day to find us in the crowd and give Gail a hug. The following Wednesday a visit from another high school teammate attending MSU at the stores one year anniversary. Then on Friday before the high school game a teammate home from Harding University coming by the house to see us. Then on Saturday before we headed to College Station another teammate playing at Texas Southern takes time to have lunch and visit while we are in Houston. The love from all of you and your coaches after the A&M game before you headed home. Then a text from an ECCC teammate on Monday saying hows it going pops and then again last night another former teammate making a surprise visit while he visits his grandmother while home over night from Ole Miss. Teammates are friends you will carry with you for a lifetime. I just cant imagine where we would be today without Parks former teammates. You all bring blessings that cant be measured into our lives. We love all of you and pray that God will bless each of you threefold for what each of you have brought into the lives of our family. Teammates are true blessings.
