Todays Recipe: Tea Bag Tea ( Liberals, dont even go there)!! Items needed: March 16ths recipe 1 Lipton tea bag Tea cup. A coffee cup can be substituted if you dont have a tea cup. Teaspoon Directions: Follow March 16ths recipient to a tea, so to speak. Open little paper pouch in which tea bag is located. You may notice that the pouch looks similar to an envelope, only much smaller. It would possibly be one that would be used by the stars of the hit TV show, Little People. Hold the pouch in your left hand with the envelope-type flap facing you. With your right hand, carefully lift the flap. Lefties, hold the pouch in your right hand and lift the flap with your left. Those of you who are ambidextrous can use either hand to hold and open the pouch. You will now see a Christmas stamp size rectangular tab with a tiny staple holding a piece of string. Righties, firmly hold the pouch in your left hand and carefully tear the tab from the pouch. Lefties and you other freaks, you get the drill. Use extreme caution when removing the tab from the pouch to ensure that the string remains stapled to it. Gently pull on the tab until rthe tea bag is removed from the pouch. Youll know youve done this correctly if your now holding the tab with the attached string and the tea bag is dangling at its end. Place the tea bag into the cup ensuring that the tab and string stay out of the cup. They should hang (sorry) over the edge of the cup. Carefully pour the boiling water into the cup. Use caution because the little paper tab which is stapled to the little piece of sting which is stapled to the tea bag may be pulled into the cup by the flow of pouring water. If possible, try to hold the tab as you pour. If the tab slips into the water, remove it with the the teaspoon. At first, the tea bag will annoying float to the top of the cup. Not to worry. Secure the paper tab which is stapled to the little piece of string which is stapled to the tea bag in one of your hands. Either hand can be used, but righties will probably find it more comfortable to use their right and lefties their left. Ambidextrous types should find it comfortable using either hand. Gently pull the tab up and down in the cup until the tea bag absorbs enough water and eventually sinks to the bottom of the cup. Not to worry, it will sink. When it finally does, gently pull on the tab until the tea bag rises to the top of the water in the cup. When it does, lower the tab so it once again sinks to the bottom. Youll notice that after you repeat this step several times (Liberals, please note above admonition) the water will begin to darken. Thats a good thing. That simply means that the tea in the bag is now being transferred to the water. Its very scientific, I know, but it is what it is. After a few minutes, remove the tea bag form the tea cup. You should by now know the drill. If not, gently pull the paper tab which is stapled to the little piece of string whose other end is stapled to the tea bag, until the tea bag is out of the cup. Be careful not to allow it to drip all over the damn place. Because if you think real hard, youve just removed it from water/tea. So, logical thinking should reveal that there might be some water/tea remaining in the tea bag upon removal from the tea/coffee cup. Set aside. Before taking a much anticipated sip of tea, you must first ensure that the little staples that secured the little string to the paper tab on one end and the tea bag on the other are still located on the tab and tea bag. Because I can assure you that the very last thing you want to do be doing later in the day is digging one or possibly even two little staple out of your ass. If you find that both little staples are still located in their appropriate places, you can now enjoy your freshly made cup of tea. If the staples are MIA, go back to step one or have a wonderful afternoon.
