Todays Recipe is: Prawn Madras & Boiled Rice. Ingredients: 165g Frozen Prawns (£2.99 325g Aldi) = £1.62 2 onions (79p 1.5kg FF) = 10p 2 Garlic cloves (39p for 4 bulbs FF) = 2p 2 tsp ginger (59p 220g HB) = 2p 1 tsp each of Turmeric/curry powder/Ground Cumin and Garam Masala (all Asda 100g between 68-72p) =4p ½ tsp chopped chili (59p 220g jar HB) = 1p 1 tin chopped tomatoes (£1.00 for 3 FF) = 33p 2 bags boil in the bag rice (59p for 4 Aldi) = 30p £2.44 Grand Total for 4. Method: Dry fry the onions and garlic in a non- stick pan until soft and then add the spices. Add the chili and tomatoes .Add 100ml water and simmer for 10 minutes. Season the sauce with S & P. Add the prawns and cook for a further 2 minutes then serve with the cooked boiled rice. Then ENJOY!!
