Todays #SaturdaySpotlight is Dr. Sakena Yacoobi In 1995, Dr. Yacoobi founded the Afghan Institute of Learning (AIL). She established 80 underground home schools for girls after the Taliban banned their education. The organization continues to support teacher training , health education for girls and advocates for the right to education of girls in Afghanistan. Dr. Yacoobi has continued her work in both Pakistan and Afghanistan.
