Todays Scripture(s) - Psalm 71:23-24 My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto thee; and my soul, which thou hast redeemed. My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long: for they are confounded, for they are brought unto shame, that seek my hurt. The Lord has redeemed you! We say I have been redeemed, lets get a good picture of redeem. Redeem to gain or regain possession of (something) in exchange for payment; to buy back; to recover. Every Single One of Us were consigned to live for eternity in hell. (I know Im not telling you anything you dont know, but Im trying to give you a clear picture of redeemed). No one no matter how good they say or think they are will see heaven without accepting the Lord Jesus Christ. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:10-11. Now lets get a good picture of how our Lord redeemed us from the mouth of hell. He was lied on, he was betrayed (by someone that ate with him), he was arrested like as if He had been a murderer (when in fact all he ever did was bring life), he was beaten (flesh was torn from his body - now lets remember whips had glass and nails, sharp objects tied into them so that when someone was beaten the pulling back on the whip would cause the flesh to be torn and dragged away with it and the blood came streaming down). He was struck, slapped and spit on. He had a crown of thorns pushed down on His brow (these thorns where not little rose bush thorns. These were thorns that were an inch to two inches long which dug into His flesh and the blood came streaming down). Our Lord after enduring that horror then was laden with a wooden cross to be paraded through the city to go to a place up on a hill to be nailed to that cross that He was made to carry (but then they found a man of Cyrene named Simon and they compelled him to carry the cross). Look at Psalm 22 and see the suffering of our Lord as it is prophetically spoken foretelling of His suffering. This is how our Lord Jesus redeemed us, how He bought us back from the bowels of death hell and the grave, this was the price of our redemption! We have so much to rejoice for, no matter what we are experiencing in this life. Rejoice Child of God and let your tongue talk, declare, shout, cry aloud of the Lords great goodness, the Lords righteousness all day long! Because your soul, our souls have been redeemed by the Lord Jesus Christ. When you are going through, Rejoice in the Lord! When it seems like nothing is going your way, Rejoice in the Lord! When it seems as though everyone is against you, Rejoice in the Lord! Rejoice YOU who have been Redeemed for the Lord God is your salvation, your strength, your shield, your strong tower, your deliverer. He is the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace! Dont keep silent, defy the norm! Rejoice in the Lord!
