Todays Sun in Hydrogen Alpha Light The sun was beautiful today so took a break to get a couple shots. The first is a composite photograph made of two images taken at two different exposures. One long exposure 1/30th of a second to show the faint prominences and a short exposure to show the surface details. The darker surface image has been superimposed over the brighter prominence image. The second image is just the surface image in Black and White, which is better at showing contrasting details. Cannon T3 DSLR camera through a Coronado PSD solar telescope (15mm lens).
