Todays topic........The current state of the Ant-Man movie. As you all probably know, Ant-Man is said to kick off phase 3 of Marvels movie universe. Director Edger Wright (Worlds End) whos been tied to this project for the last few years was set to direct the film up until last week when it was reported he left production because of creative differences with Marvel. But the real story supposedly is that Edger Wright co-wrote the script, but then marvel had in-house writers to rework the script to the point Wrights vision for the film became non-existant & because of tht got upset & left production. Since Wrights departure Marvel is desperately seeking a suitable director to helm the film with no success. Since Wright Marvel has met with at least 3 other directors so far, non of which want to take the project on either due to busy schedules or the pressure of a movie of this caliber. What do you guys think the real issue is? What would your scenario of a marvel meeting concerning this movie play out like? Starring Michael Douglas as aging scientist & oringinal Ant-Man Hank Pym & Paul Rudd as theif / current Ant-Man Scott Lang, Ant-Man is slated for release July 15, 2015. But if Marvel cant find a director soon to direct this film, this release could get pushed back by a few months to a year.
