Todays Thought :) Today morning I was greeted with a very fun sight. Our sweeper was merrily sweeping the road with a peacock feather attached to her back. She had tucked it in her sari fold. She had found the child within her although she is 50-52 years old. I found the child too, not only in her but also in me. It is wonderful to see children laugh and play, feel their joy in their hugs. If you enjoy the warmth in their hugs, in their laughter, that means you are made up of the same warmth and laughter; that is why you are attracted to it! But when we become the five or six foot, we create the image of all people who are one foot to be children conveniently forgetting the child in us. At times, some people keep urging sons, daughters, daughters in law, sons in law etc to start with the baby production the minute marriages take place. If kids are born as a result of love between two individuals, he blossoms. But sometimes kids are born owing to pressurized wishes, whims and force of third parties, because it may be that these individuals have forgotten to be the child themselves or recognize the child in other individuals around them. Today our 52 year old sweeper with the peacock feather bobbing along as she swept the road taught me to keep the inner child intact. We keep missing this hidden laughter and playfulness yet it is hidden right inside us and we keep looking for it outside all the time. Perhaps when you find it in yourself, you will find the hidden child in every five or six footer you cross. The love you feel for the one and two footer kid definition will overflow to these five and six footers. After all its only a matter of a few feet. The returns are of course immense once you cross the barrier of the few feet. Dedicated to some of my lovely friends who have been remarking to me how they have been told so often to bring babies! :D
