Todays Tidbit 6/10/2014 Today is the first day in the Celtic Tree Month of Oak. We have left behind the fertility and goal-oriented patterns of the Hawthorne and are now embracing a new pattern that is consistent with the season. The Oak moon falls during a time when the trees are beginning to reach their full blooming stages. The mighty Oak is strong, powerful, and typically towering over all of its neighbors. This tree was considered sacred to the Druids and ruled over the main summer month. The Celts called this month Duir, which some scholars believe to mean door, the root word of Druid. The Oak is connected with workings for protection and strength, personal/internal success, and overall good fortune. Carry an acorn in your pocket during this time frame and it will be bring you good luck. If you catch a falling Oak leaf before it hits the ground, youll stay healthy the following year! As for the cosmos, the Moon in Scorpio opposite Venus in Taurus, the Moon forming its monthly union with often restrictive Saturn in Scorpio, as well as the more upbeat and mentally exuberant Mercury parallel with Jupiter, and the Moon trine Jupiter in water signs are all affecting humanity directly today and without much interference. Feeling overwhelmed?... Its not unusual given the bombardment. We are also in the two-day cycle that precedes any Full Moon (arriving on Thursday), and this represents a preparation period for the enlightenment on the verge of uplifting the human realm inhabiting this beleaguered planet in the solar system.
