Laundry - washing with commercial soap Commercial laundry soap with essential oils added help clean and sanitize your laundry. • 10 drops of Lemon to each load to help deodorize and sanitize • 10 drops of Eucalyptus to each load to kill dust mites or fleas • 2 - 10 drops of selected oil to rinse cycle to further soften and deodorize Lemon, Lavender or Citrus Bliss Laundry - washing with homemade soap Here is a common recipe for homemade laundry detergent (dry) that essential oils can be added to as in the above with commercial soap. Stir ingredients below together, use 1 - 2 T per load. Add essential oils as per above. • 1 bar castile soap, shaved (on line or Ivory at the grocery store) • 1 cup borax (20 Mule Team, grocery store) • 1 cup washing soda (Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda, grocery store)
