Todays Tip: When loading and unloading horses in the trailer during the winter months, remember that one bad slip or fall can cause a career ending injury! You can’t be too careful when your horse’s longevity, health and well-being is at stake. You may need to go a bit out of your way to avoid slick surfaces, or lay down some shavings to create more traction. Also be mindful that an emotionally fit horse will be more calm, steady on their feet, and less likely to panic and/or slip – it’s OUR responsibility to prepare our horses with a solid education for success and safety in all circumstances!
