Insert a sub-page for each lecture topic. · Levels of IS-IS are Level 1 and level 2 and Level1level2 both (but by default every router have L1L2 ) · L1 to L1 (same area ID(AID) ) · L1 to L2 ( same AID) · L2 to L2 (in different AID and also same AID) · L1L2 to L1 (same AID) · L1L2 to L2 (in different AID and also same AID) · L1L2 to L1L2 (if AID same then complete adjancies but if AID different then only L2 ,L2 adjancies · ISIS have two network types · 1(point to point )on serial link · 2(broadcast) on fast Ethernet link · IS-IS have three network types of style · 1 narrow in IOS (only for IPv4) · Wide (in it IPv4 and IPV6 both run ) · Transition (in only IPv6) · NET(network entity title0 · Its have 20 bytes but also 8 bytes · e.g (AA.0000.0000.0000.NN) · First portion is for Area ID · And last portion NN always must 00 due to ip uses protocols · Route leak is use for redistribution of isis and its only on L1L2(P routers which connect b/w L1 and L2 · Route leak have two methods · 1-route-map(but only on those routers which have new version of IOS) · 2-Access-list (for all versions of IOS) ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Configuration 1. First the scheme of all routers In global mode configure router IS-IS R1(config) # router isis (word) #net 49.0000.0000.0000.00 (or any other NET which you want ) 2. Then all interfaces which we want exit in IS-IS configure R1(config)#inter serial 1/0 #ip router isis (word) 3. If we want we change the level of isis then R1(config-router)#is-type Level1 or level2-only or L1L2 4. If isis enable on ipv6 then first enable ipv6 on that routers 5. R1(config)#ipv6 unicast-routing 6. R1(config-if)#ipv6 enable 7. #ipv6 add (33:3:3:2/64) 8. #ipv6 router isis (word)
