Todays Veterans Town Hall Meeting was well attended by Veterans, Stakeholders, Congressional Liaisons, VAMC staff, volunteers and the media. Veterans shared their views and questions about the recent, temporary changes to the VAMCs Emergency Dept. (Now Urgent Care Center) and its new hours (8am-6pm daily); Veterans Eligibility and the new Choice Card and how it works, along with several other questions about fee basis, whats being done to recruit compassionate physcicians into VA health care and many more topics. Local media outlets, including KHQ, KXLY, KREM, and the Spokesman Review all covered the event, including interviews with Veterans and the Medical Centers Linda Reynolds (VAMC Director) and Dr. Kimberly Morris, Chief of Medicine (pictured with KHQs Patrick Erickson).
