Todays Wednesday #WOD is the Isometric Bar Hold. There are a lot of ways to gain strength through a range of motion, but the method that is often overlooked by a lot of people is isometric training. Isometrics is the act of using force against resistance without changing your muscle length, whereas dynamic training exercises keep your muscles and joints moving through continuous, rhythmic activity. In this video, you can see how my trainer MBFit - Michael Browder combines both isometrics (Im holding the bar in a fixed position over my head) with a dynamic one (squats).
