Todays #Wednesday #Workout of the Day is the standing hip thrust with resistance bands. Resistance bands are a highly effective and often overlooked tool in most gym settings. When we train against resistance, our efforts are focused and concentrated allowing us to target specific muscle groups or very localized muscle movements. Notice my movement, or work, is against the band. Im not using momentum or relying on accessory muscles to target my glutes (I am holding on so I dont get launched backward when I release the squeeze). ;) My #glutes are on fire long before I get to my last set, but the goal--according to my coach MBFit - Michael Browder--is to have my effort in the first set be every bit as focused as my effort in the last set. #standinghipthrusts #resistancebands
